Will you be mine?

This is just a fun little stitch I whipped up this week-end.  I love Lizzie Kate's designs for those quick, on-the-go project's.   :)

Thank you so much for all the sweet comments you left about my mom's birthday gift.  Her birthday is next week. Dealing with her and her issues is never easy...I lost my Dad to Alzheimers and now watching my mom head towards the same "rabbit hole" is gut-wrenching to say the least.

I don't know what I'd do without my sweet hubby and son.  They remind me to always keep looking upward and forward and they help me to laugh along the way.  They keep me more "blessed than stressed".  (They also encourage my stitching.)  :)   Who could ask for anything more?

Again, thanks...

Cherish,
Sharon

TUSAL - #1

Just for fun, I'm participating in Daffycat's Totally Useless Stitch-a-long ort jar show and tell.  Every year, I save all the little orts from all my stitching projects and keep them in this jar.  Every December, I pull out all the orts and put them in one of those clear glass Christmas ornaments.  On the outside of the ornament, I put Ian's name, age, height and weight.  It's great every year to pull out the ornaments and see how he's grown.  It's also a great way to tie us together since we both have Christmas birthdays.  My love of stitching tied together with my love of him.  The projects I work on always have lots of different colors and therefore, I always have lots of different colored orts, which always makes for pretty ornaments!

These are my orts that I've collected so far from my "Love Spoken Here" project.  Speaking of which...here's a progress shot....

I still have to put the border on but I'm loving working on this piece.  This is a gift for my mom for her birthday, but I see a strong possibility of stitching this again for myself too. :)

I Cherish This Face! :)

In keeping with my New Year's theme of "cherish", I thought I'd share a snap of this little sweetie!  I do cherish her!  She loves me unconditionally (okay, she might love me just a "wee" bit more if I'm holding a "treat")  but she always loves me and always wants to be wherever I am. (or wherever her "dad" is or wherever her "brother" is - they're her other favorite people!!  She also likes this snazzy winter coat.  I think she cherishes being WARM! :)   We had a bit of a cold snap here in the "sunshine" state a couple of weeks ago and before she needed to go out, she would go and drag her coat out of her coat/toy basket...she'd be a champ at charades, don't you think????

Yup, an 8 pound bundle of "cherish".  :)
