I think we'll name her "Puffs"**

So, Shelby was happily dozing on our bed.  We left sleeping puppy to her sweet slumber and went to the family room to watch a movie.  About 10 minutes later, hubby walks in to check on said puppy. Through hysterical laughter, he said, "grab your camera".  I was ready for a huge puppy mess.  Instead, I was met with this....goofy puppy has box of tissues on her head.  Funny thing was, she was wagging her tail, not acting like anything was different.  I said "Shelby, what have you done?"  She looked up at me, tail still wagging, like she was saying "What????  Things are good here...nothing to see, move along."  LOL

We love this goofy little girl SO much!!!

Hope this makes you smile!

Hugs and Grace,
(**  in case anyone from the company that makes "Puffs tissues" want a new advertising campaign, I'm thinking "Picky puppies choose Puffs".  Have your peeps call Shelby's peeps and we'll make a deal)   Hee hee

Let's talk about back-stitching....

Will someone PLEASE remind me that the next time I choose to do a "large-ish" design, it might be a good idea to do some of the back-stitching as I go along instead of waiting until the end?  (I know, that was a complete run-on sentence).

As much as I love the effect that back-stitch has on a project and how it makes a design "pop", I am so tired of lines over and over again.  I thought that the pale green gray, dark green gray, brown gray color scheme was bad enough when I was making little x's.  Trust me, it's worse when you're using those colors to draw plain lines.

Having said that, I'm finding that the back-stitching is going much faster than I expected.  I now have the top part of the project finished and I'm ready to start tackling the bottom half.

Y'all will be the first to know when it's time for a woot-woot and a happy dance!

Stitch from Stash - March

Well, we all knew it was going to happen sooner or later.  I fell of the "Stitch from Stash" wagon this month.  Yup, I caved...

Here are my purchased pretties...

Labyrinths and Inlays by Vickery Collections

CT2 by AAN
(I plan to stitch this design on a piece of dark blue fabric w/ white silk and beads that are already in my stash)

My grand total of damage this month is $15.25.  CT2 was $8.50 and Labyrinths was $6.75.
Once my wolf gets finished (I still have a boatload of back-stitching to do!), it will be fun to start something new!

Wolf Update - half of a happy dance!

I finally have a "half of a happy dance" update on my wolf!  All of the "regular" cross stitching has been finished,  Now, on to the backstitching.  I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am!!!!
As most of you know, this is my second attempt at trying to finish this project.  I tried it about a year and a half ago and messed it up so badly, that there was nothing for me to do but ditch it.
This is a piece that I'm making for our son.  Poor guy has had SO many medical challenges over the past couple of years.  I'm in awe of how many moments when he's pressed forward when I was a puddle of tears of what he was facing.  He gave me encouragement to try stitching this again...and has been a big cheerleader all the way.
There is a LOT of backstitching that needs to be done but I'm starting to see the finish line!  Whoo-hoo!!!

As soon as this project is "finished, finished", I'm going to be having a little give-a-way to celebrate, so stay tuned for that.  Also, stay tuned, because this gal is going to treat herself  to some sweet new stitching stash!  I'm hoping to stay "on budget" with my stitch from stash goals, but I have some gift cards saved up and I'm going to have me some good "Stash Enhancement Experiences" that I'll be happy to share with you!

Hugs and Grace,
